IT Support Apprentice

Begin your career in technology as an IT Support Apprentice with an established managed service provider based in Leeds. This paid apprenticeship is designed for individuals who have recently completed their A-Levels or equivalent qualifications and want to build practical technical experience while earning a salary and working towards a recognised Level 3 qualification.

Working alongside an experienced service desk team, you will learn how business technology is deployed, supported and secured. You will gain hands-on experience across first-line support, hardware and software troubleshooting, account administration and network fundamentals, giving you an excellent foundation for a long-term career in IT.

This is an ideal opportunity for methodical, curious individuals who enjoy solving problems and want a structured route into infrastructure, networking or cyber security.

Act as a first point of contact for staff and client IT enquiries by telephone, email and ticketing system.

Log, categorise and prioritise support tickets accurately, escalating where appropriate.

Diagnose and resolve everyday hardware, software and printing issues.

Build, configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices.

Create and maintain user accounts, mailboxes and permissions in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.

Support software installations, updates and patching schedules.

Assist with basic network tasks including cabling, switch checks and connectivity testing.

Maintain accurate asset registers and technical documentation.

Support routine backup checks and security monitoring tasks.

Provide clear, patient and professional customer service to non-technical users.

Work closely with senior engineers to develop your technical knowledge.

Complete apprenticeship coursework and attend all required training sessions.

Recently completed A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications).

No previous IT support experience is required — full training will be provided.

Confident general computer skills and a genuine interest in technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

An interest in infrastructure, networking or cyber security.

Starting salary of £27,000 per annum.
